13 booked in separate assault cases

In four separate assault cases, complaints have been lodged against 13 persons at various Police Stations in city.

Hebbal Police Station: A woman has lodged a complaint against a person for assaulting her with a club over petty issue in Lakshmikanthanagar in city.

The woman, who was assaulted, has been identified as Vinutha, residing behind Prashantha Ganapathi Temple and the person who assaulted her has been identified as Ramegowda of the same locality.

It is reported that on Mar. 18 night, Ramegowda, allegedly barged into the house of Vinutha, picked up a quarrel over some petty issue, abused Vinutha using foul language and assaulted her with a club, injuring her.

Vinutha later lodged a complaint at Hebbal Police Station.

K.R. Police: Complaint has been lodged against two persons for assault over locking of a gate, which took place near Agrahara in city on Mar. 18.

While victims have been identified as Jayashree Manjunath and her son Pradeep Kumar, residents of Ramanuja Road 1st Cross, the persons who assaulted are Alakananda and K.M. Madhusudan.

It is reported that Pradeep Kumar on Mar. 18 night was locking the gate of his house, when Alakananda and Madhusudan, also of the same locality, allegedly assaulted Pradeep and Jayashree all of a sudden.

A complaint has been lodged at K.R. Police Station in this regard.

Saraswathipuram Police: In yet another case of assault over a petty issue, a complaint has been lodged against a group of persons for assaulting another group at Janatha Nagar in city.

While the victims of the assault have been identified as Nithin, Sidda, Kiran and Manja, the persons who assaulted them have been identified as Mallesh, Abhi, Naga, Muddu Mahadeva and others, also of the same locality.

It is reported that on Mar. 18 night, Nithin, Sidda and their friends were sitting and chatting near a cycle shop owned by one Shivanna near Ganesh Bhandar when Mallesh and others, who came in an autorickshaw, allegedly assaulted them besides abusing them using foul language and fled from the spot.

A case has been registered at Saraswathipuram Police Station in this regard. Counter Complaint: Meanwhile, a counter complaint has been lodged against Sidda, Kiran and Nithin for trying to assault Mallesh and friends who had come to the spot in an autorickshaw.
