15 vehicles seized for violation of traffic rules

RTO officials in a swift operation on Thursday seized 15 vehicles plying on the National Highway passing through the town for violation of various provisions of IMV Act.

The officials led by Joint Commissioner of Transport C.T. Murthy, who launched vehicle checking near the TB, seized 15 vehicles including lorries for overloading and goods vehicles carrying passengers besides booking two-wheeler riders for helmetless riding.

The RTO officials apart from seizing 15 vehicles, registered 68 cases against errant motorists.

The officials said that such operations will continue and action will be taken against violators of IMV Act and other road safety Acts.
