AAP opposes imposition of Hindi in State

Mysuru: Aam Admi Party (AAP) has decided to organise a movement opposing the move of the Union Government to make Hindi compulsory.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, AAP leader S.G. Seetharam said that  a few people were sending a wrong message in society that AAP was anti-Kannada. He contended that all leaders of the party were localities and well-versed in Kannada. He added that a signature campaign had already been done to stage the protest again imposition of Hindi by Centre in the State where 3,000 signatures have been collected.

He further said that Bank challans were printed in Hindi and not Kannada. He warned of a protest in front of Head Offices of Banks in the State if Kannada was not made compulsory in all Banks. AAP leaders Vidyaranya, V. Prakash, Malavika, Abdul and others were present at the press meet.
