Accident victim succumbs to injuries

Mysuru: A person, who suffered serious injuries in an accident and underwent treatment at a private hospital before being discharged, passed away at his residence in city last evening.

The deceased has been identified as Mahadev (65), a resident of Kyathamaranahalli here.

It is reported that Mahadev, on Apr. 1, had been to Srirangapatna and was returning to Mysuru on his Honda Activa scooter, when a speeding bike rammed into his scooter from behind near VRL on Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway causing serious injuries to him.

He was immediately admitted to a private hospital in city and was discharged after 15 days as there was very little chances of Mahadev recovering from the injuries. Mahadev died at his residence yesterday evening.

The body was sent to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem and would be handed over to his relatives later.

N.R. Traffic Inspector C. Kiran Kumar, who has registered a case in this regard in this regard, is investigating.
