Bike rider killed in mishap

In a tragic incident, a youth who was returning home after finishing his night shift, was killed on the spot when a goods Tata Ace vehicle rammed into his bike, near Mellahalli Gate on Bannur Road here  this morning.

The unfortunate victim has been identified as Nandeesh (27), son of Basavanna, a native of Malavalli, presently residing in Alanahalli and an employee of a sugar factory at K.M. Doddi in Mandya district. The mishap occurred when Nandeesh was proceeding home on his Hero Honda (KA 09 W 451) bike when a speeding unregistered Tata Ace vehicle rammed into the bike, killing him on the spot due to severe head injuries.

Mysuru South Police SI Jayaprakash and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary and seized both the vehicles besides registering a case.
