Mysore/Mysuru: Members of the public averted a major mishap by extinguishing the car fire in front of City Law Courts Complex here on Sunday morning.

The Ford car belonging to a Tours and Travels company was proceeding in front of the Court Complex on Sunday at about 11 am, when the driver noticed thick smoke and fire emanating from under the bonnet and immediately stopped the car. 

The driver got down from the car and called the Fire Station. But the public, who noticed smoke and fire, managed to douse the fire before the Fire personnel arrived, thus averting a major fire mishap.
