Chamundi Express and Shatabdi: Some suggestions

March 13, 2017

Sir,

The seating arrangement in Chair Car of Chamundi Express train do not conform with that mentioned in the ticket. For example, if seat no. 51 is mentioned as window seat in the ticket, it is an aisle seat in the compartment. This needs to be corrected and aligned properly immediately.

The Chair Car compartment and the seats are quite outdated and these also needs to be improved considerably.

During my travel by Shatabdi Express from Mysuru to Chennai on 28th January 2017, the dinner supplied was atrocious and unpalatable. If IRCTC is unable to improve the food supplied, then the option to be given to the traveller would be not to pay the catering charges of Rs.188 and not avail the food service in Shatabdi. The traveller in such case can make his own arrangement for food.

I request the concerned Railway authorities to implement these suggestions at the earliest.

I fully agree with the views of Mr Bhaskar regarding the facilities in the trains running between Bangalore and Mysore. South Western Railways has to give due importance and improve the quality of service in this route.
