Concert by two young artistes at Ganabharathi

Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised music concerts by two young promising artistes on  May 26 at 6 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar.

Vidu. Arundhathi Krishnan will perform between 6 pm and 7.30 pm while Vid. S.R. Vinay will sing from 7.30 pm to 9pm. They will be accompanied by Vidu. M. A. Jyothy on violin, Vid. Kumaraswamy on mridanga and Vid. V. S. Ramesh on morching.

Arundhathi is a ‘B high’ grade artiste of All India Radio, Bangalore. A student of Soundaram Krishnan, she has performed in all major music organisations in Chennai, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum and Cochin. She has presented many  thematic concerts on personalities like  Swati Tirunal and Muthaiah Bhagavatar.

Academically a research scholar in the Department of Mathematics at IIT Madras, she is a recipient of many prestigious awards like Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer award by Sri Krishna Gana Sabha and Maharajapuram Santhanam talent promotion award by Narada Gana Sabha.

Vinay started learning the basics under Vidu. Seethalakshmi and then continued to learn under Vidu. Lalitha Chandramouli and Vid. R. K. Padmanabha. Currently he is undergoing advanced training under Malladi Sri Suribabu (father of Malladi Brothers).

He has perfomed in sabhas like  N.R.Colony Rama Mandiram, Karthik Fine Arts, Chennai,  Ananya Sabhangana,  Thyagaraja Gana Sabha, Shanmugananda Sangeetha Sabha, Mumbai. He has won many prizes and awards like Nada Kishora and Ananya Prathibha Puraskara.
