Dowry harassment: Woman lodges complaint against husband

Mysuru: Alleging dowry harassment by her husband and his family members, a woman has lodged a complaint at Women’s Police Station.

In her complaint, the woman, identified as Netravathi of Ashokapuram, has stated that she was married to one Pradeep Kumar on 21.5.2011 and her family had given enough dowry to Pradeep at the time of marriage.

She has further stated that her husband wanted to start a business and was harassing her to bring more dowry from her parents besides torturing her mentally and physically.

About six months back, Pradeep left Netravathi in her parents’ house and left for Bengaluru and called her over the phone informing her to come home only if she brings money following which she lodged a complaint at Women’s Police Station.
