Food and Civil Supplies Deputy Director Dr. K. Rameshwarappa transferred

April 1, 2017

Following a direction from the Election Commission, the Government on Friday transferred Food and Civil Supplies Deputy Director Dr. K. Rameshwarappa on changes of violation of model code of conduct. The BJP had lodged a complaint with the State Election Commission accusing Dr. Rameshwarappa of favouring the ruling party by distributing BPL cards to the electorate.

Based on a report submitted by the State Election Commission, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the State Government to transfer  Dr. Rameshwarappa.

Dr. Rameshwarappa has now been asked to report to the Central office immediately. Following Dr. Rameshwarappa’s transfer, Mysuru Assistant Commissioner C.L. Anand has been given additional charge of the post.
