Foreign national facing criminal charges to be deported

March 17, 2017

Close on the heels of Goa Government’s action of deporting foreign nationals facing criminal charges, Karnataka too will deport a Nigerian national for criminal activities.

Replying to a question by BJP member V. Somanna in the Legislative Council yesterday, Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara said several foreign nationals who have overstayed in the city are indulging in criminal activities such as dug-peddling. Such foreign nationals will be deported after withdrawing the criminal charges against them, just as in Goa, he said and added that the Government will not tolerate any unlawful acts by foreign nationals.
