Freedom Fighters remember Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

Mysuru – The Mysuru City & District Freedom Fighters’ Association celebrated Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti at the Freedom Fighters Park in Subbarayanakere in city this morning.

Freedom Fighter T. Venkatachalaiah, speaking on the occasion, said that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was one of the ‘Ratnas’ given birth by  Bharath Mata.

He pointed out that Dr. Ambedkar, who always fought for equality in the society, was the architect of the Indian Constitution, which is widely regarded as a model constitution to the entire world.

Stressing on the need for following the Constitution, he said that the nation must move forward in accordance with the principles of the Constitution.

Earlier, floral tributes were offered to the portrait of    Dr. Ambedkar.

Association President Dr. M.G. Krishnamurthy, office-bearers H.N. Ashwathnarayana, Rangashetty, Dr. Somashekar, Revanna, Halegowda, B. Karunakar and others were present.
