Illegal transportation of cattle:Three arrested, 3 cows rescued

Hebbal Police on Saturday, have arrested three person for illegally transporting cattle to a  slaughter house.

The arrested persons have been identified as Chandan, Harish and Krishna, all residents of Nanjapura village in Hunsur taluk.

It is reported that the three were transporting cattle in a Tata Ace vehicle near Bharat Cancer Hospital, when the Police intercepted the vehicle. The arrested, who initially said that they were transporting the cattle to their place to rear them, confessed of transporting them to a slaughter house when they were questioned further.

The Police, later arrested the accused and shifted the cattle to Pinjarapole at the foot of  Chamundi Hill.

A case has been registered at Hebbal Police Station in this regard.
