Irrigation Department official killed as lorry rams into bike

Mysuru: An Assistant Engineer of the Irrigation Department was killed on the spot when a speeding lorry rammed into the bike he was riding on the Ring Road here yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Ramachandra (53), a resident of Vivekanandanagar in city.

Ramachandra was travelling on the Ring Road to his relative’s place in Hootagalli, when a speeding lorry rammed into the bike he was riding near Bogadi Ring Road junction, resulting in Ramachandra falling off the bike and the lorry running over him killing him on the spot, according to K.R. Traffic Police who have registered a case in this regard.
