Ist CCA Open FIDE International Rating Chess Tournament: Thejkumar finishes fifth

Five players S.V. Srinath Rao (TN), B. Sekar (TN), P. Poobalan (TN), M. Vinoth Kumar (TN) and IM M.S. Thejkumar (KAR) tied with 7 points each from eight rounds and based on their progressive

tie-break score took the places from one to five respectively in the 1st CCA Open FIDE International rating chess tournament 2017 which concluded at Calicut on Sunday.

IM M.S.Thejkumar had wins against S. Nithyan, N. Manoj, Santosh David, Wanjari Rajendra, Abdul Majeed, C. Sivakumar and Ram S. Krishnan.

Final Placings: 1. S.V. Srinath Rao (TN-7-46), 2. B. Sekar (TN-7-45.5), 3. P. Phoobalan (TN-7-45), 4. M. Vinoth Kumar (TN-7-44), 5. IM M.S. Thejkumar (Kar-7-40).

    Curious to know : How come Jayanagara Lake has disappeared???
    Many many memories of it…used to play adjacent to the lake…can anyone care to enlighten??
