Karnataka State Open FIDE Ranking Chess Tournament: 8 players share lead

Former State champion N. Sanjay, Vivek Nambiar, V. Raghavendra, M.G. Gahan, Viani Antanio Dcunha, D. Yashas, P.P. Prachura and K. Durgesh are tied in the top position with 4 points each at the end of four rounds in the Karnataka State Open Rating Chess Tournament being held at Osteen College, Chamarajapet in Bengaluru yesterday.

Meanwhile, Mysuru-lad Chaitanya Ganesh (rating 1489) has secured 3 points from 4 rounds and is placed 41st in the rankings. He had wins against N.M. Anikaith, Thulasi Reddy and G. Kruthi and lost against Varma Shabdik in the third round.
