Mayor on inspection-spree

February 15, 2017

Complaints galore on footpath encroachment by cattle owners, bad roads, clogged drains, garbage menace…

Mayor M.J. Ravikumar went on an inspection-spree at Ward No. 32 covering V.V. Mohalla and Gokulam 2nd Stage in city this morning. The inspection began from MCC guest house on Kalidasa Road and moved towards V.V. Mohalla 1st, 2nd and 3rd Cross.

At VV Mohalla, the Mayor found that the footpaths in the area were encroached by cattle rearers, who had tethered their cows and calves. He also found that the silt in storm water drains had not been cleared.

The Mayor instructed the officials accompanying him to impose hefty fine against those encroaching footpaths and also to clear the drains immediately.
