MCC’s upgraded Control Room inaugurated

Mysuru: Mayor M.J. Ravikumar on Friday inaugurated the MCC’S upgraded Control Room at the  room behind the election section in the MCC.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravikumar said that the Control Room has been upgraded using the latest technology. The updation will help the MCC to address public complaints faster and better he pointed out.

Noting that the MCC had spent Rs. 14 lakh on the renovation and updation of the Control Room, he said the Control Room will now have an AC room, four brand new computers, walkie-talkie system, CC cameras and other necessary infrastructure equipment.

Ravikumar said that the public can lodge complaints at this Control Room (Nos. 1913, 0821-2418800, 2418816, 2431112, 2440890, 2440891) on drinking water problems, storm water gushing, tree fall, snapping of power lines, mosquito menace, poor street lights, drainage overflow and such others.

Earlier, Town Planning Standing Committee Chairman Nandeesh Preetham who visited the Control Room before the inauguration, sought details about the complaints received. After finding that a significant number of the 647 complaints received still remains to be addressed, Nandeesh Preetam brought it to the notice of MCC Commissioner.

MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha, former Mayors R. Lingappa & Purushottam, former Dy. Mayor Mahadevappa, Corporators B.V. Manjunath, Kempamma, K.V. Mallesh, Jagadeesh, Superintending Engineer Suresh Babu, AE Ravikumar and Development Officer Rudresh Kumar were present.
