MDFA ‘A’ Division league: Durgamba FC, Mysore Police in drawn tie

Mysore Police FC held last year’s runner-up Durgamba FC to a goalless draw in the MDFA ‘A’ Division football league 2016-17 for the Achutharao Memorial Trophy played at the University Grounds here yesterday.

In the match played yesterday,  Gandhinagar FC registered a facile 6-2 win over Rovers FC.

Earlier, the tournament was symbolically inaugurated by Prakash, former Mysore University football coach, by kicking the ball. Also present on the occasion were L. Manjunath, Hon.Secretary, MDFA, Rashid Ahmed, KSFA and other office-bearers of MDFA.

Gandhinagar FC: 6 (Rakshith 9, 50, Sharath 20, 45, Dhanyashekar 25, 30) bt Rovers FC: 2 ( Siddiq 55, Aarthi Raj 70).
