Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Jayanti celebrated in city

Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah showered flowers on the statue of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar at K.R. Circle in city this morning to mark Rajarshi Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Jayanti celebrations, jointly organised by the District Administration, Kannada and Culture Department, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), Ursu Jayantotsava Samiti and Federation of Ursu      organisations. District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, MP R. Dhruvanarayan, MLAs M.K. Somashekar and Vasu, Corporator Prashanth Gowda and others were present.

Marking the celebrations, a grand procession, accompanied by folk teams, Police band and Mounted Police, will be taken out later in the afternoon from City Palace to Kalamandira where a stage programme is scheduled to take place at 5 pm. The event will be followed by the enactment of a play ‘Praja Raja’ on the life of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar by artistes from Prajna Samskrutika Trust, Mysuru, at 6 pm.

    for having created so much of confusion to the history the book “naanu kannambaadikatte” of p.v.nanjarjeurs should be banned immediately by the government and action must be initiated on this urs – who is always known for such controversial statements and on the the publisher . it is none of his business to give wrong information to the public about sir MV. I request police authorities to take suitble action on this prof. urs for crated so such chaos in the minds of the people with such sensitive issue.
