Natl. Conference ‘PRATIBIMB’ held at NIE

40 technical papers were selected for presentation

The Department of Industrial & Production Engineering, NIE, Mysuru had organised a National Conference ‘PRATIBIMB – 2017’, sponsored by TEQIP II at its premises in city recently.

Sudhindra, Head, Engineering Services & MIS, BEML Ltd , Mysuru, who was the chief guest, complimented NIE Management for conducting such a programme.

He insisted that the industry expects graduates from engineering institutes possess lot of qualities other than engineering knowledge. He opined that events like PRATIBIMB would definitely help students gain extra qualities that are required for a budding engineer.

He spoke on the future of India and advancement in future generation like cloud computing, additive manufacturing      and 3D printing.

The coordinators received 50 technical papers and they were passed through a screening committee, which comprises professors of the department. In all, 40 papers were selected for the presentation/poster presentation. Participants were research scholars, Post-Graduate students and UG students from various engineering colleges of the State. Dr. M S Sham Prasad, HOD of I&P Engineering Department welcomed the gathering. Dr. K.M. Subbaiah,  proposed the vote of thanks.

R. Banupriya, T.S. Nandini, B. M. Latha and  Santosh Kumar, Dr. Y S Varadarajan, Mohammed Ismail, V. Sudhindra, Head, Engineering Services & MIS BEML Limited, Mysuru, Dr. H. N. Divakar, Dr. V. Ramesh,  Prof. Shivalingaiah and Karthik were present.
