Newly-wed man killed in road accident

Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a newly-wed man was killed on the spot when the two-wheeler he was riding was knocked down by a 10-wheeler lorry in N.R. Traffic Police Station limits on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Salman (23), a resident of Metagalli.

Salman was returning home on his scooter (KA-09 EY-3453) after visiting his wife at Ramabai Nagar yesterday afternoon, when he stopped at Colombia Asia Hospital junction traffic signal. But soon as he started his scooter after the signal flashed green light, the lorry that was next to him, knocked down his scooter and ran over him, killing him on the spot.

Salman is said to have got married just 20 days ago.

N.R. Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
