Mysuru: Senior Journalist C.K. Mahendra was elected as the President of Mysuru District Journalists’ Association (MDJA) during the elections held on Aug. 13.

Mahendra polled in a total of 215 votes out of the total 287 votes. K.J. Lokesh Babu (201 votes) was elected as General Secretary, M. Subramanya (148 votes) as City Vice-President, Manju Kote (137 votes) as Rural Vice-President, B. Raghavendra (147 votes) as City Secretary and L.G. Dakshina Murthy (116 votes) as Treasurer.

Meanwhile, Dharmapura Narayan was unanimously elected as Rural Secretary.

The following were elected as the members of the Executive Committee (2017-2020): Mallige Machamma (164 votes), Naveen Kumar (Periyapatna – 156), Ravi Pandavapura (153), H.S. Venkatappa (142), Mahadeva (141), C. Dinesh (137), C.M. Kiran Kumar (134), Gavimata Ravi (130), S.K. Chandrashekar (122), M.R. Satyanarayana (121), S.R. Nagaram (118), H.S. Dinesh Kumar (109), Jayashankar Badanaguppe (106), Shekar Kirugunda (103) and Nanjangud Madhu (101).
