Police book IAF officer for abetting wife’s suicide

April 13, 2017

Mysuru – Nazabad Police have booked an IAF Officer for abetting his wife’s suicide who ended her life by jumping in front of a moving train in Mandya.

The deceased has been identified as Shubha (43), wife of Wing Commander Suraj Ganapathi Hegde, attached to 2 Air Force Selection Board in city and residing in Siddarthanagar.

Shubha’s father, who has lodged a complaint against Suraj on charges of abetting Shubha’s suicide at Nazarbad Police Station, has stated that Suraj used to harass his daughter Shubha over trivial issues and had made her life miserable. Unable to bear the harassment, Shubha had taken the extreme step and had even left a suicide note at her residence before she went missing on Apr. 4. A missing complaint was lodged at Nazarbad Police Station.

The next day, her mutilated body was found on the railway track near Srirangapatna and the Railway Police had booked a case of unnatural death and had shifted the body to Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) mortuary.

Following the complaint from Shubha’s father, Nazarbad Police, who have booked a case against Suraj in this regard, are investigating.

It’s not suicide it was murder done by her husband in pre planned manner. If u all have interacted with Shubs u will know the kind of person she was. She even loved stray animals on the road. Her friends from past one year r standing by her n fighting in whatever way they can to make sure she gets justice after death. Hegde had driven her to the point of commiting suicide. Even after 17years of marriage he kept repeating same dialogue he told her at beginning of their marriage that he never wanted to get married & only cause of his parents he has married & would keep telling her that he found her unattractive & never wanted her to work. Though she picked up a job at KV Mysore he made her life hell by time & again telling her to quit & stay at home. In the end she did not complete her teaching tenure & left her job mid way. He made her break the FD her parent’s had done worth 7 lakhs a week back & refused to give her a penny. Her friend at Mysore recharged her phone so she could stay in touch with her family & friends. I have proof in messages & voice recordings that she was driven to this state & she would tell me that life seems meaningless & worthless. He told their children also not to listen to her that she’s not in her senses. Her parents were disrespected & he told her that only her mother could enter their home & father used to wait at bus stand to meet her as he was forbidden from entering their house. He took her to a psychiatrist without telling her & tried to prove she’s in depression & mentally disturbed.I m sharing all this because one beautiful life is wasted. She did not want to end her life. She told me for sake of her parents & daughter she wants to live. I & many of her friends told her & pleaded with her to come to us but she chose the path we dreaded. I only through this message want to convey to all her friends to show solidarity with her & abstain from showing any sympathy to her husband cause he doesn’t deserve it. I pray to God that may her soul rest in peace now. Please pray for her parents & children. Hegde went to office after she walked out of home & did not try to forcefully stop her from leaving home cause if he thinks his wife’s suffering from depression he should have done that rather like any routine day he showed no anxiety at her disappearance & went to office & evening filed Missing report & next day again went to office & to gym in evening. She had committed suicide by lying on train tracks 3 days back. Her body has been discovered in decomposed state. All this while he did not put up posters with her photo or give message in newspaper or Local TV. Rather he carried on with life…

How do YOU know so much about someone else’s life and routine? Were you stalking them that you know who did what and when?

Find a man to blame!! No, not the dad or the brother, but the man who supported someone for 17 years. Why should he be blamed for suicide and not her parents for not bringing her up right. Take divorce if you are troubled, and walk off. But no, here’s the thing: ladki is payara dhan so usey wapas nahin accept karenge par uske husband par abetment of suicide thokenge!! Bloody losers!! It is ridiculous and shameful for people to blame a person serving as a Wg Cdr for several years. Why were you morons silent all this while and enjoying the sad, sob stories and did’nt ask Suraj directly on what the matter is? The issue with people like Suraj is that men don’t go knocking at the doors in the neighborhood to share their sob stories BECAUSE they have a job to do and they become a butt of jokes if they do, while the wife doing the same gets blind sympathy. All these allegations about 7 lacs and what rot, please shub it up your butt and check what a Wg Cdr earns!! Also, check the debit balance of his account past 17 years and you will know how meager 7 lacs is as compared to what he’s spent on HID FAMILY!! And please stop meddling into someone else’s life!! How did you get access to the conversations and why were YOU even told about the money? A man seldom ventures out of the house to bullshit his own family while a woman gets all the sympathy from all quarters. Give the man a chance to tell his side if the story and you guys must stop acting like judges!!!! STFU!!
