More rain assured in coming days

May 19, 2017

Mysuru: The city recorded 40.3 mm rainfall last night, the highest so far this year. The rain, accompanied by strong winds and thunder, threw normal life out of gear, as many trees fell, traffic was disrupted and a few areas plunged into darkness as power supply was hit. Speaking to SOM, Naganahalli Organic Farming Research Station Nodal Officer Dr. C. Govindaraju said, “This is the highest rainfall that the city has recorded between Jan-May this year. We are confident of an assured rainfall in coming days.”
