Red Sander logs seized, 2 arrested

Mysuru: The Madikeri CID Forest unit Inspector H.R. Dharanendra and staff, on May 16, raided a farm in Palahalli village in Srirangapatna taluk, where 10.99 CFT of Red Sander logs, worth about Rs. 80 lakh were stored illegally and have arrested two persons besides seizing the logs.

The arrested persons have been identified as Ganesh and Santosh.

Forest Unit SI N.P. Harish, Chikkarajashetty, Mysuru CID Forest Unit staff Venkatachala, M.B. Ramesh, Narasimhamurthy, T.R. Raghu, Cheluvaraju, Manjunath and Pradeep, took part in the raid, nabbing and seizing operation.
