Remove sand deposits from city roads

June 8, 2017

Sir,

Recent rains have brought sand from roadsides on to the road which may cause two-wheelers to skid.

The photos were taken very recently on Kalidasa Road near Kannada Sahitya Bhavan Circle (see photo).

There are several such sand deposits on Bogadi Road (near AIISH and University Guest House), Hinkal Road near Shell Petrol Bunk. There may be several other roads filled with this type of sand or fine soil. It may cause injuries to the riders and their vehicles may hit other passing vehicles when it skids.

Hence I request the officials concerned take action to remove sand from roads an ensure the safety of motorists.
