Retired lecturer commits suicide

Mysuru: A 61-year-old retired lecturer committed suicide by hanging self at his residence on Bogadi yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Somashekar.

The Police said that Somashekar had committed suicide yesterday afternoon when none of his family members were present.

The incident came to light only when the family members returned in the evening.

Saraswathipuram Police Inspector Nagegowda and staff rushed to the spot and conducted mahazar before shifting the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem. Police, who have registered a case, are investigating into the reason behind Somashekar taking to extreme step.
