Revenue Inspector complains to SP on Srirangapatna MLA’s behaviour

July 5, 2017

Srirangapatna: Revenue Inspector Doddaiah has lodged a complaint with SP Radhika alleging that Srirangapatna MLA Ramesh Babu Bandisiddegowda had abused him in foul language and intimidated him during a ‘Janasamparka’ meeting held at Naguvanahalli in the taluk on Monday.

Doddaiah has complained that the MLA heeding to the words of his supporters had abused him (Doddaiah) without any respect for a Government officer.

Reacting to a private TV channel over phone, Doddaiah alleged that the MLA had been ill-treating Government officers right from the beginning which was encouraging the supporters of the MLA which had prompted him to complain to the SP.

Doddaiah, in his complaint, is said to have alleged that the MLA had threatened over phone to kill the former if he went ahead with lodging a complaint against the henchmen of MLA who were continuously harassing the Revenue Inspector. Hence, Doddaiah has sought Police protection for him. He has also sent a voice recording of the phone call from MLA to Doddaiah where the former has threatened the life of the latter.

It is learnt that the MLA abused Doddaiah in the presence of Tahsildar which has wondered many people. Speaking to Star of Mysore, SP Radhika said that the complaint of Doddaiah has been received and added that the audio recording of life threat by MLA against Doddaiah was recorded on June 14, 2016. She further said that all possibilities would be examined.

However, MLA Ramesh Babu, speaking to Star of Mysore, has denied abusing Doddaiah and contended that the voice recording was bogus and doctored  to corner him.
