Room boy arrested for stealing cash from customer

Lashkar Police have arrested a Room Boy of a lodge on Rave Beedhi in city on charges of stealing cash of a customer and he has been remanded to  judicial custody.

The arrested Room Boy has been identified as Siddaraju, a resident of Gundlupet.

It is reported that one Manak Rao, a businessman, had come to Mysuru on Feb.13 and took a room on rent at a lodge on   Rave Beedhi.

The next day, Manak Rao went to a common bathroom in the lodge by just latching the door of his room and on his return, he found Rs. 34,100 kept in his purse missing.

Manak Rao, who doubted Siddaraju, lodged a complaint at Lashkar Police Station.

Meanwhile, Siddaraju, who left the job the next day, took up a job at another lodge in city where he was picked up by the Cops.

During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of committing the crime. He was later produced before a Court, which remanded Siddaraju to judicial custody.
