Self-defence workshop for high school students

As part of International Women’s Day celebrations, Samskruthi Women Sphere (SWS) conducted self-defence workshop for high school students in Kautilya Vidyalaya recently.

Around 300 girls were benefited from this programme. The same afternoon SWS held a  similar workshop at JSS Women’s College in Saraswathipuram. Nearly 500 girls took part in this programme. SWS also felicitated three lady achievers in different fields — Rukmini Chandran (wise President and Director of Adventure Sports Committee of India), Kala Krishnaswamy (Additional Superintendent of Police) and Kalpana Surendra (Best Women Entrepreneur awardee).

The self-defence programme was demonstrated by Kartik S. Kateel and his mother Shobalatha.
