Shop employees protest alleging harassment

April 2, 2017

Alleging disparity in salaries, leaves and benefits and also harassment to women employees for petty reasons by the management, the employees of Shoppers Stop at Mall of Mysore on M.G. Road, staged a protest by shouting slogans against the Manager yesterday.

Speaking to the media, the protesting employees alleged that the Manager was showing disparity while fixing salaries, not giving leaves for festivals and harassing women employees for petty reasons.

They said that the Manager was giving leaves and other benefits for a particular community and not giving the same to other community people and urged the company management to replace the existing Manager.

Nazarbad Police Inspector Shekar, who arrived at the spot, held talks with the management and assured the protestors of solving their problems, following which the protestors withdrew their agitation.

Meanwhile, when the media asked the Manager for his reaction, he refused to speak.
