Siddu to be seen in big and small screen as CM!

June 23, 2017

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah is getting ready to don a new role as soon as the Assembly Session was over yesterday. The new avatar will be his appearance on the silver screen and in the small screen. He will be facing the camera acting as himself in Kavitha Lankesh directed children’s film and the popular Zee TV Reality show “Weekend with Ramesh.”

In Kavitha Lankesh’s film ‘Summer Holidays,’ Siddharamaiah will be acting as the CM only. “There is the role of the CM in the movie. Instead of others acting as CM, we thought of approaching Siddharamaiah himself. He has not yet given his consent. Once he gives the date we will shoot,” Kavitha has said.

Her sister Gauri Lankesh speaking to Star of Mysore said, “The CM was very busy in the session. He has still not confirmed. The moment he gives his nod, we will shoot with Siddharamaiah.”

Summer Holidays is being made both in Kannada and English. Kavitha’s daughter Isha and her brother Indrajit’s son Samarjit are also acting in the movie. Three more children will be acting along with them.

According to sources, Siddharmaiah has started shooting for ‘Weekend with Ramesh,’ from yesterday (June 22) soon after the Assembly Session was over. This is the first time he will be facing camera as the Chief Minister. Earlier, Chief Ministers Ramakrishna Hegde, J.H. Patel, Sadananda Gowda and others have appeared on the silver screen.

Though the late Devaraj Urs had applied makeup, he did not come before the camera. Even Gundu Rao and Bangarappa also did not appear.

It may be recalled that Siddharamaiah’s son late Rakesh had acted in the 2005 movie ‘Nanage Neenu Ninage Naanu.’
