Signature campaign launched for jobs

August 12, 2017

Mysuru: Urging the Governments to generate at least 10 lakh jobs before the next general elections, ‘Karnataka For Employment’ Forum launched a signature campaign near CPC Polytechnic on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road, N.R Mohalla, yesterday.

Renowned writer Devanur Mahadeva launched the campaign. Street plays also marked the campaign. The signatures will be sent to three major parties in the State — Congress, BJP and JD(S) — urging them to prioritise creation of jobs, with the State being rich in skilled human resource.

The Forum will launch ‘No jobs, no vote’ campaign ahead of the elections if the parties failed to act on creation of jobs, according to the organisers, who also said that the signature campaign was held in different parts of the State earlier this month.
