Sri Ramanavami Music Festival in VV Mohalla from tomorrow

Sri Ramaseva Mandali Charitable Trust is starting its 23rd Music series from tomorrow (Mar. 28) at Sri Prasanna Parvathi Kalyana Mantapa, next to Sri Chandramouleshwara Temple, V.V.Mohalla.

As usual, daily mornings there will be the religious activities such as Ramayana Parayana, Navagraha Japa, Abhisheka etc.with  Sita Sahasranama Ashtottara and Sri Rama Pattabhisheka on Apr. 6. This year Sri Rama Taraka Japa & Homa will be performed on Mar. 31 and Apr. 1 through Sri Chandramouleshwara Temple.

Sri Ramanavami Music Festival starts on 28th at 6 pm with inauguration by Industrialist and Philanthropist Dr. M. Jagannath Shenoy. Dr. Vidyabhooshana will be conferred with the title “Sangita Kalaradhaka.” Subsequently he will present a vocal concert.

On 29th, the veteran vocalist Vid. S. Shankar from Bengaluru will give a vocal concert. Vidu. Jayamangala Krishnamani, disciple of T.R. Subrahmanyam will also give a vocal concert. Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh will enthrall the audience through her veena playing.

On Apr.1, Vidu.Kalavathy Avadhooth, a senior vocalist from Bengaluru will present a vocal concert. On 2nd,  Vid. S. Sakethraman from Chennai will be singing. Pt. Dattatreya Velankar, a senior Hindustani vocalist will perform on 3rd.

Vid. N.R. Prashanth from Mysuru, presently based at Singapore will be singing on 4th.

On 5th of April, it will be a very unique programme Ramayana Ashtavadhana by Ganesh Bhat Avadhani, disciple of Shatavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh and Group.  On 6th, the curtains will come down on the festivities through a flute recital by V. Vamshidhar, grandson of V. Deshikachar.

All the concerts starts from 6.15 pm daily after a concert by youth artists from 5.15 pm.
