SSLC exam begins

Over 39,323 students in Mysuru appeared for the SSLC examinations which began throughout the State this morning.

The Department of Public Instructions (DPI) has set up 134 exam centres throughout the district for 19,831 boys and 19,492 girls.

DDPI H.R. Basappa and Zilla Panchayat CEO P. Shivashankar visited various schools overseeing the arrangements. Flying squads appointed to check malpractices also visited various school.

A few parents, who accompanied their wards to the exam centres, were seen waiting at nearby parks. SSLC exams will conclude on Apr. 12.

The Police clamped Section 144 around 200 mts surrounding examination centres apart from ordering for the closure of photocopy shops in the vicinity.

The District Administration has banned the usage of mobile phones at the exam centres.

The DPI has made sure that the exam centres had displayed details about register numbers and room numbers on the notice boards for easy access by the examinees.
