Two houses burgled in Srirampura

Mysuru: Miscreants who broke open into two houses in Srirampura on Sunday have decamped with cash and jewellery totally worth Rs. 1 lakh.

In one incident, burglars who forced entry into the house of Natarajan, located on 11th Cross in Srirampura 2nd Stage, decamped with a 9 gm gold ring, a 2 gm gold drop totally worth about Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 18,000 cash kept in a cupboard.

Natarajan, who left his house along with his family members on Saturday morning to Bengaluru, returned on Sunday afternoon, only to find his house burgled, it is learnt.

In another incident, miscreants who gained entry into the residence of one Basavesh, also located on 11th Cross, 2nd Stage, Srirampura, have made good with 20 gm gold jewellery totally worth about Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 5,000 cash.

The burglary came to light when Basavesh who had gone to his native place on Saturday, returned on Sunday afternoon.

Kuvempunagar Police have registered separate cases.
