Undertrial dies in hospital

An undertrial, who was undergoing treatment at K.R. Hospital for some illness, passed away on Monday after failing to respond  to the treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Kumar (48), son of Puttaiah and a resident of Rajegowdanahundi village in H.D. Kote taluk. Kumar, who was booked for murder was lodged in K.R. Nagar sub jail, where he fell sick and was transferred to Mysuru Central Jail and was admitted to K.R. Hospital for treatment.

Mysuru Central Prisons Chief Superintendent Anand Reddy said that Kumar breathed his last on Monday and a case has been registered at Mandi Police Station in this regard.
