Brahma Kumaris to host Farmers’ Meet on Feb.20

Brahma Kuamaris, Mysuru, as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, has organised a workshop for farmers on the topic ‘Shaswat Yogic Agriculture’ on Monday (Feb.20) at 10.30 am at Maharaja’s College Grounds in city.

Shivashankar, Chief Executive Officer of Mysuru Zilla Panchayat, will be inaugurating the workshop. K.S. Puttannaiah, MLA of Melukote, who will be the chief guest, will narrate the professional barriers that the farmers are facing today and the possible solutions for them.

A book on ‘Shaswat Yogic Agriculture’ will be released by Badagalapura Nagendra, General Secretary of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha. Dr. Guruprasad, President of Chamarajanagar District Raitha Sangha and V.L.Kempugowda, President of Pandavapura Taluk Raitha Sangha, will be the special guests.

B.K. Shekar, an agriculturist from Belagavi, will share his experience of this new agricultural system. Lakshmi D. Raju, Joint Director, Department of Horticulture, Lalbagh, Bengaluru, will deliver the keynote address. Rajayogini B.K. Lakshmiji will preside. Farmer representatives from five districts will be participating in this workshop.
