Mysuru: The third Ashada Shukravara (Friday) on July 14 saw the highest entry ticket collection so far at the Chamundi Hill Temple that stood at Rs. 23,78,250.
This is more than double the entry ticket collection of the third Ashada Friday last year that stood at Rs. 9,40,000.
This year, the total revenue collected through entry tickets on the first three Ashada Fridays stand at Rs. 64,70,030 as against the last year’s total collection on all Ashada Fridays and Chamundi Vardhanti Mahotsava that stood at Rs. 38,73,300. In 2015 and last year, special darshan tickets were priced at Rs. 50. This year, the District Administration had retained the Rs. 50 ticket and has introduced Rs. 300 ticket for special darshan and an Abhisheka in their names.
