Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah has set December as the deadline for the completion of ongoing construction works of new District Offices Complex.
Chief Minister, who paid a surprise visit to the construction site, inspected the ongoing works at the German Press premises in Siddarthanagar, this morning. After inspecting the works, he instructed the officials to maintain the quality of works.
The contractor, who was also present, informed Siddharamaiah regarding the delay in releasing funds. Later, the CM asked the contractor not to delay the construction work and assured him that the funds would be released on time as he also held the Finance Ministry portfolio.
He also said that the building should be ready for inauguration by December, this year.
PWD Superintending Engineer Satyanarayana informed the CM that there would be no compromise with respect to quality and also assured that the construction works would be completed within deadline.
The building will have a built area of 22,920 sq mts with a basement of 9,150 sq mts, ground floor of 4,720 sq mts, first floor of 4,500 sq mts and will have the second floor of 4,550 sq mts. Space for parking vehicles will be earmarked at the basement, District Registrar’s Office, Treasury and Muzarai offices on the ground floor and DC office on the first floor. Offices of Backward and Minorities Development Department, Department of Mines and Geology, Department of Legal Metrology, Fisheries Department, Excise Department and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Development Board will be located on the second floor. Later, the Chief Minister also inspected the construction works of the Mega Dairy at Alanahalli on Mysuru-Bannur road.
MP R. Dhruvanarayan, MLA H.P. Manjunath, DC D. Randeep, Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah and other officials were present.
