CM takes strong exception to KPCC Chief’s idea of dropping Ministers

KPCC Chief Dr. G. Parameshwara’s proposal to drop all Ministers of the Siddharamaiah Government who have completed four years in office, has created ripples in the State Congress.

Upset over the KPCC President’s proposal, Siddharamaiah is said to have turned away Dr. G. Parameshwara who went to meet the Chief Minister at his (CM) home office Krishna, after making him wait for over 40 minutes yesterday afternoon, it is learnt.

Dr. Parameshwara who is also the Home Minister, had hinted his plan of dropping all Ministers who had completed four years in office in order to make way for others as election is just an year away.

Upon learning of Dr. Parameshwara’s plan, CM Siddharamaiah is said to have been very upset with the KPCC Chief’s idea.

Siddharamaiah apart from ridiculing the KPCC Chief’s plan has ruled out any possibility of a Cabinet reshuffle, stating that reshuffle is a closed chapter.

While a majority of Ministers in the present Cabinet are strongly backing the Chief Minister on the Cabinet berth for long, are in favour of Dr. Parameshwara. Amidst all these developments and the explosive revelations made in the diary notings of Congress MLC K. Govindaraju, which has hit headlines, State Congress party in-charge Digvijay Singh landed in Bengaluru yesterday for holding serious discussions with top party leaders of the State to tide over the crisis and to end differences within the party on several political and administrative issues.
