Coach Cafeteria opens in refurbished Mysuru Rail Museum

Mysore/Mysuru: One of the many new features of the revamped Rail Museum in city is the ‘Coach Restaurant’.  It has been opened for Museum visitors. Stabled at vantage point for the visitors to have a magnificent view of several outdoor exhibits like steam locomotives, vintage gabled style iconic wayside Railway Station, level crossing gate and a green tunnel and the lovely amphitheatre in a lush green backdrop.

The customised Coach Restaurant with soothing ambience has a seating capacity of 20 at four per table. It gives an immediate reconnect with the train journeys, you can sit to relish hygienically prepared snacks/light refreshments and beverages like coffee and tea. 

Aparna Garg, Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railway (SWR),  Mysuru Division, and President, South Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SWRWWO) inaugurated the Coach Restaurant yesterday.  Office-bearers of SWRWWO, under whose aegis this Coach Restaurant will operate on ‘no-profit-no-loss’ model, Sr. Officers of the Division were present on the occasion.

Since it has been reopened after COVID-19 restriction lifted recently, there has been a steady flow of visitors to the Museum, and with opening of this cafeteria it will be an added attraction to the visitors, stated a press release from Priya Shetty, Divisional Commercial Manager and PRO.
