Mysore/Mysuru: Former Mayor Sandesh Swamy has suggested that the gas pipeline project must be kept in front of the public before implementation. It must be discussed in public platforms and the Corporation Council, he opined.
Terming the project as hugely beneficial to the public, Sandesh Swamy has said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented the ambitious project and the same project is being implemented in many cities including Bengaluru.
“For the project to be implemented, several roads have to be dug up and it may take more than two years for the project to be fully realised in Mysuru. It is pertinent to discuss the scheme before it is implemented,” he suggested.
All elected representatives from the Corporation to the Legislature and Parliament must be aware of the project and how it is being implemented. A consensus will have to be achieved to realise the full benefits, he suggested.
