Sir,
Star of Mysore has previously highlighted the serious issue of stray dogs, which unfortunately persists. Now, in addition to this concern, a new problem has arisen: Stray horses roaming the main roads of Mysuru, particularly in Ramakrishnanagar and surrounding areas.
These horses often run at high speeds on roads and pavements, posing a significant danger to pedestrians and motorists alike.
I have personally experienced the consequences of this issue, as some years ago, while commuting to the office on my motorcycle, a stray horse suddenly darted onto Nelson Mandela Road in Bannimantap, resulting in a collision that caused injuries.
On behalf of the concerned citizens of Mysuru, I urgently request the authorities to address this menace posed by both stray horses and dogs. Immediate action is needed to ensure the safety of residents and commuters in our city.
