To take on Chhattisgarh CA in the final
Andhra CA, helped by some good bowling by their bowlers spearheaded by Shoib Mohd. Khan (four for 114), registered a 28-run win over Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) XI on the concluding day of the four-day semi-final in the Dr. (Capt.) K. Thimmappiah Memorial Cricket Tournament-2019, played at Alur Grounds here yesterday.
Needing 319 runs for a win, KSCA XI could only score 290 in 87 overs and fell short of the target by 28-runs.
R. Samarth (21), K.V. Siddarth (23), Abhishek Reddy 61 (87b, 9×4, 1×6), J. Suchith (63, 91b, 5×4, 3×6), Shreyas Gopal (29), Sharath Srinivas (24), David Mathias (21) and M.G. Naveen (22) were the scorers.
The KSCA XI batsman could not carry on after their good start and complete a win.
Inspired bowling by Shoib Mohd. Khan (four for 114), C.H. Stephen (two for 30), I. Karthik Raman (two for 22) and G. Manish (two for 95) helped Andhra’s cause. Andhra CA will meet Chhattisgarh CA in the final.
