Excessive consumption of liquor claims man’s life

 An incident of a man falling sick  after consuming excessive liquor and breathing his last at a hospital has been reported in city yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Bharath (20), a native of Asumatti village in T.N. Pur taluk who was working at a hotel near Agrahara Circle in city.

It is reported that Bharath, after finishing his work on Sunday night, went to a bar nearby, consumed excessive liquor and was on his way to his room when he fell sick and collapsed on the ground.

Passersby, who saw Bharath collapsing, admitted him to K.R. Hospital here, where he breathed his last after failing to respond to the treatment.

K.R. Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
