Mangaluru: A total of 13 Government Hospitals including four Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi districts have been nominated for the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification by the Union Government.
The selection for this certification is based on criteria like quality of service, records management and hygiene.
In Dakshina Kannada, a total of 10 departments of Wenlock Hospital, six departments of Lady Goschen Hospital, Community Health Centres of Mulki and Moodbidri, PHCs of Shirthady and Naravi and Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) of Jeppu have been selected for the certification while in Udupi, the District Hospital at Ajjarakadu, Women and Children’s Hospital, PHC of Shanker Narayana and Community Health Centres of Kota and Brahmavara have been chosen.
