Mysore/Mysuru: City’s theatre repertory Rangayana will be staging the play ‘Halagali Samara’ for three days from Aug.13 to 15 at 6.30pm at Bhoomigeetha in Rangayana premises.
The play, scripted and directed by Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa, is based on the struggles of the second war of Indian Independence of 1857, with focus on Halagali, in now Mudhol taluk of Bagalkot district, the hub of the struggle.
Dhananjaya and Subramanya have scored the Music for the play.
Cariappa, who addressed a press meet at B.V. Karanth Rangamandira in Rangayana this morning, said that successful students of Bharatiya Rangavidyalaya (2020-21 and 2021-22 batches) will be distributed diploma certificates in theatre tomorrow. Music University VC Prof. Nagesh V. Bettakote will distribute certificates at 11 am on Aug.13.
