Mysuru: High drama was witnessed at Chief Minister Siddharamaiah’s Ramakrishnanagar residence this morning as a Police Constable allegedly used foul language when he was controlling people who had come to meet the CM to air their grievances.
As Siddharamaiah was in city since yesterday, over 300 people had come to meet him – as early as 7 am – and give their representations. Though barricades were set up in front of the house, in their eagerness to meet the CM, people started pushing the barricades.
Seeing the advancing crowd, a Police Constable (he has not yet been identified or his name kept under wraps) abused some people with vulgar language and pushed some of them aside. Taking objection to his behaviour, the people too started shouting at the Constable and told him that they have been waiting to meet the CM and he should mind his language.
The Constable, however, did not stop at this and continued to use filthy language. When some people in the crowd threatened him that they would complain about his attitude to the CM, he quietly left the place.
Later, a team of senior Police Officers and security personnel arrived at the spot to pacify the crowd.
Order was restored soon as Siddharamaiah’s son Yathindra Siddharamaiah came out of the house and began hearing people’s problems.
